Fans of Sex and the City will get another fix of their favorite foursome, confirms a rep for New Line Cinema.
Sarah Jessica Parker, Kim Cattrall, Kristin Davis and Cynthia Nixon have inked deals to appear in a sequel to last year’s hit chick flick, which has grossed over $400 million worldwide.
Michael Patrick King will be back as the writer and director and said that he’s “very excited to work with these amazing actresses again.”
No word on whether or not Jennifer Hudson will be involved in the film, but her character — Carrie’s assistant Louise — left New York to marry her sweetheart in St. Louis, so it doesn’t look very likely. However, expect Chris Noth (Mr. Big), Evan Handler (Harry), new dad David Eigenberg (Steve) and possibly Jason Lewis (Samantha’s on-again/off-again boy toy Smith).
The movie is expected to hit theaters in summer 2010.
