Kirk Douglas oldest celebrity blogger at 92

London, Dec 22 (IANS) Legendary Hollywood actor Kirk Douglas has become the oldest celebrity blogger on social networking website MySpace.The 92-year-old, who retired from movies five years ago has now racked up 4,414 online friends, reports dailymail.co.uk.

The actor began blogging in March 2007 to promote his memoir, “Let’s Face It”, but continued doing so after seeing the interest generated by his posts.

Douglas says he enjoys writing the blog because he gets “personal satisfaction out of it. I express my opinion, and I tell them (the readers) that they don’t have to agree with me because it’s a free country. And their answers are very, very interesting,” he said.

MySpace celebrated the status of the oldest celebrity blogger this week.

“All the comments that he gets on his page are so supportive, and people really find him truly inspirational,” said Angie Allgood, director of talent relations at MySpace.
